Not long after Uchiha Hikaru returned to his seat, the owner brought over the two bottles of sake.
Uchiha Hikaru easily recognized the bottle he had tampered with. The Shinobi Seal on the sake made it easy for him to identify.
Without revealing anything, he picked up that bottle of sake and placed it directly in front of Sakyo Noya, then said with a smile:
"Brother Sakyo Noya, consider this bottle my toast to you. You know the alcohol here isn't particularly strong, so it doesn't matter how much you drink."
Hearing Uchiha Hikaru's words, Sakyo Noya nodded slightly and said with a smile:
"I think so too. The alcohol here is like water—I can barely taste anything."
As he spoke, he picked up the bottle in his hand. Without bothering to pour it into a small cup, he tipped back his head and gulped it down.
Seeing Sakyo Noya act like that, Uchiha Hikaru was naturally delighted. This man did not suspect that he might play dirty at all, so Uchiha Hikaru calmly took small sips of his own drink.
He did not actually like sake, but what pleased him now was not the small cup in his hand. It was watching Sakyo Noya slowly get drunk right before his eyes.
Sakyo Noya was only good at bragging. Before the drinks had been served, he had boasted to Uchiha Hikaru about drinking for an entire day and night, going drink for drink with all the heroes in a tavern. But in Uchiha Hikaru's eyes, he was completely full of it. His tolerance was not even worth Uchiha Hikaru's little fingernail.
Uchiha Hikaru smiled as he watched him. Sakyo Noya gradually became muddled, and even his gaze toward Uchiha Hikaru slowly turned unfocused. He even tried to stand up once,
