Law was rather depressed about not being able to buy a ship. In the shipyards, all kinds of seagoing vessels were available for the picking—fat or thin, there was everything one could want. Yet Uchiha Hikaru's standards were simply too high. They had wandered the entire island for so many days and still had not bought a single ship.
Law did not really support his boss's pursuit of perfection. After all, they had killed Kaido's men, and the entire New World had already erupted. Everyone impersonating Uchiha Hikaru had disappeared, while anything connected to Uchiha Hikaru—such as clothing factories and apparel shops—had suffered the wrath of one of the Four Emperors, Kaido.
Law truly could not understand it. Even if they had provoked Hikaru, why did they have to kill the Four Emperor's subordinates and bring down this endless trouble upon themselves?
"Annoying rats." A cold glint flashed through Hikaru's indifferent eyes. He tilted his head slightly to the side and sneered. "Trouble's here. Go deal with it. Let off some steam while you're at it."
"Hm?" Law followed Hikaru's gaze, but he found nothing.
Hikaru said calmly, "A few more fools who don't know their place have come. I suppose they've taken a liking to the bounty on your head?"
After only a moment, Law finally spotted several people sneaking around nearby. Inwardly, he gave Hikaru's powerful sensing ability a silent thumbs-up. Hikaru had detected them before he had, which meant his perception was far stronger than Law's.
Over the past few days, the two of them had frequently encountered ambushes, assassinations, and pursuits. Since they had killed Kaido's subordinate, such incidents had become increasingly frequent.
"I doubt they're after my head." Law slowly rose to his feet and drew Kikoku. "You provoked one of the Four Emperors. They
