Li Yu examined Yuan Hao’s connections while Huang Shu escorted Yuan Hao and the other captives toward the Five Lotus Sect, where a mysterious white-veiled woman with a Great Xuan Remnant attacked him. The story left Huang Shu fighting her as Li Yu arrived at the Zhao Kingdom Branch to report his findings to Steward Zhao.
- Li Yu learned that two of the four Foundation Establishment Cultivators taken with Yuan Hao were Branch members, while the other two came from the Five Lotus Sect’s Twenty-Eight Peaks; Wei Ang was among them.
- Li Yu reviewed Yuan Hao’s ties and found that Cao Yi and other well-connected figures had dealings with Yuan Hao but had not joined the rebellion.
- A white-veiled woman confronted Huang Shu and demanded that he release Yuan Hao, then revealed a bronze battle-axe that Huang Shu recognized as a Great Xuan Remnant.
- Huang Shu sent Shen Yan and Jiang Qinghan ahead with the captives, but the woman revealed that she had drawn him away so they might be unable to keep Yuan Hao under guard.
- The woman struck Huang Shu with her battle-axe, and he fought back with his Golden Lion Seal while discovering that she had sealed her apertures against his Lionheart Insight.
- Li Yu arrived at the Zhao Kingdom Branch to report his analysis to Steward Zhao, and Cao Yi was surprised that Li Yu had already finished reading the bamboo slips.
