Furthermore, consulting many texts from later ages suggests that when primordial chaos reversed and heaven and earth parted and joined, the "Space-Time Gate" might well have opened in response; might Earth in a later age have gained a few more reported missing persons? If that Space-Time Gate happened to open over level ground, and those transported through it were fortunate enough not to fall and be smashed to pieces, surely another fine tale along the lines of "Newly Ascended" would have unfolded?
