Hehe, this wanderer was heading home tomorrow to celebrate the New Year. This book would be on hiatus from February 1 to March 1.
As Ping Chao grew older, the time he could spend bringing joy to his parents at their knees grew shorter; besides, he was wandering overseas all alone, making this chance to return home for the Spring Festival all the more precious. So even if he occasionally went online at home, he probably would not have the heart to post updates. As it happened, he could also use this spare time to reflect on his approach to writing and systematically map out the plot ahead.
I felt that the last two chapters of Volume Two seemed to have strayed somewhat onto a devious path and probably needed adjusting. My original intention in writing was to make this book's plot and characters as fresh and bright as possible, with an even, balanced tone; yet Chapters Twenty and Twenty-One of Volume Two always felt a little too clever for their own good, losing some of the breadth of spirit I had been striving for. Perhaps I would need to think it over after going home. What did you all think, fellow readers? Hehe.
Of course, please forgive me for using some excessively flattering terms above. I only meant them as goals...
The next volume, Volume Three, would be titled "White Clouds Abound Above the Green Vine Robe." Although this book strove for a down-to-earth touch, it by no means ruled out lavish, magnificent scenes. Personally, I felt that even a tiny yellow flower could appear especially radiant and lovely only against a snowy landscape of quiet, unadorned simplicity...
Finally, Guan Pingchao wished all his readers a happy Spring Festival and happiness for their whole families! Everyone, let us meet
