Before I type this, I want to make one thing clear: I don't know Guan Pingchao personally, so please don't mistake me for a shill, an advertiser, or a butt-kisser ^^" These words are simply some thoughts that struck me.

Let me start with my earlier impression of Immortal Road. To me, its arrival was like a clear spring flowing into today's wish-fulfillment cultivation fiction, which had long since become formulaic. Beautiful writing paired with an unpretentious style undoubtedly made it a wonderfully refreshing read. Still, if we're talking about a true classic, it hadn't quite reached that height.

Since there weren't many outstanding works of cultivation fiction, I very much welcomed Immortal Road's arrival. But this little sister has a bad habit: I'm always terribly picky about works I genuinely like, hoping they can become flawless. So when I saw a thread commenting on Immortal Road this morning, I impulsively took the liberty of posting the following criticism:

Compared with much of today's formulaic wish-fulfillment fiction that calls itself cultivation fiction, Immortal Road was undoubtedly very good, with a freshness that delighted the reader.

But because I set a fairly high bar for good books, I'll still venture to mention a few shortcomings I personally
