A Visa debit card had a Visa credit card number on it. The procedure for shopping online was the same as with a Visa credit card: enter the card number, expiration date, and the last three digits on the signature strip. The only difference was that your account balance had to cover however much you wanted to spend. For example, to pay RMB 80 to become a premium VIP, you needed at least NT$350 in your account.

My debit card also had Visa 3D authentication enabled. I had to visit the Chinatrust website
