After refusing reconciliation with the Jiang clan and winning his place in the Azure Mystic Sect, he arrived at Verdant Mist Hall as a registered disciple.

• Jiang Che entered the Willow Source time fragment, uncovered the Liu Clan’s betrayal, and earned cultivation rewards as he repeatedly tried to change Liu Bingyuan’s fate.
• Jiang Che helped the Azure Mystic Sect defeat Demon Sect remnants, gained recognition from Du Yongchang and Luo Wenling, and mastered the Azure Torrent Sword Art.
• Jiang Che found his parents living in a cellar after the Jiang clan expelled them, then rejected the clan’s offer to restore his branch and moved his family to Willow Source County.
• Jiang Che returned to the time fragment, killed Liu Bingyi with a Blazing Fire Spirit Talisman, and saved Liu Bingyuan, earning a Grade Jia Rating and nine wisps of primordial origin first spirit.
• Jiang Che left Willow Source for the Azure Mystic Sect, where Wan Xiaoxi challenged him over the current admission slot.
• Jiang Che defeated Wan Xiaoxi with the Azure Torrent Sword Art, and Luo Wenling secured him a prize from Zong Rui before taking him to Verdant Mist Hall.
• Zhang Pou registered Jiang Che and assigned Zhang Erguo to escort him to the lower compound, where Zhang Erguo learned that Jiang Che had arrived with Luo Wenling.

Jiang Che joined Zhang Erguo and Hu Yan in Ailin, where they fought Demon Monsters and helped defeat a True Demon. An instance revealed the Demon Sword’s history, and clues afterward suggested someone had deliberately steered events in Ailin, leaving Jiang Che unable to simply flee.

• Jiang Che and Zhang Erguo traveled to Ailin, joined Hu Yan’s team, and learned from Du Yongchang that a True Demon lurked near Little Hidden Temple.
• Jiang Che’s group fought through waves of Demon Monsters, and Jiang Che discovered that killing them granted transmigration energy.
• The disciples entered Little Hidden Temple, where the True Demon attacked until Du Yongchang and the other Qi Refining masters defeated it.
• Jiang Che absorbed the ruined Buddha statue’s green light and entered an instance set at Little Hidden Temple fourteen years earlier, where Master Chunji was suppressing the Demon Sword.
• Jiang Che fought off the monsters attacking Chunji’s protective boundary, but Chunji ultimately sacrificed himself to contain the sword and entrusted Puxin to Jiang Che.
• Jiang Che received the Candlelight Thousand-Jin Finger as his instance reward and warned Du Yongchang that Steward Wei’s captured Demon Sword was dangerously evil.
• Hu Yan and Zhang Erguo uncovered links between Chunji’s vanished temple, the Wang Clan’s deaths, and the soldiers who reported the True Demon, prompting Jiang Che to suspect someone had guided events deliberately.

Jiang Che uncovered Puxin’s plot and helped stop the Demon Sword from unleashing a calamity in Ailin. After the battle, a White Dragon Temple monk named Chunhui came to claim Chunji’s reincarnation and demanded that Jiang Che join his temple.

• Jiang Che learned from Chunji that Steward Wei’s attempt to refine the Demon Sword threatened Ailin, and he cultivated the Bodhi Heart Lamp to find the scheme’s mastermind.
• Jiang Che survived a Demon Monster ambush after Qian Ze betrayed his patrol, then helped Hu Yan and Zhang Erguo defeat the attackers and traced the conspiracy to Zhang Guilu and Puxin.
• Jiang Che and Hu Yan found Puxin leading a hostile crowd in East City, where Puxin wounded Jiang Che and trapped him in a mindscape of fabricated memories.
• Jiang Che revisited Chunji in the Little Hidden Temple instance, learned how the True Dharma scripture could weaken the Evil Spirit, and returned with Buddha Nature and a plan.
• Jiang Che recited the True Dharma scripture through the Tin Staff while Hu Yan activated the blood formation, weakening Puxin and the Evil Spirit as the others fought to hold off the monsters.
• Jiang Che completed his chant as Zhang Erguo defended him, helping the three Qi Refining masters defeat Steward Wei and seal the escaped Demon Sword.
• Jiang Che gave the officials a guarded account of his role in the battle, while Chunhui arrived to retrieve Chunji’s reincarnation and claim the Bodhi Heart Lamp.
• Chunhui demanded that Jiang Che join the White Dragon Temple or be killed, then left to find Chunji’s reincarnation while Jiang Che resolved not to become a monk.
