He looked at Izumi, then at Gua, and finally grabbed Izumi.

But Itachi grabbed her anyway, pulling her out of the corridor and rushing toward the exit.

when the two reached the doorway, they discovered people there too.
Five or six figures in black were chasing students around the playground, slaughtering them.
Blades rose and fell, and blood sprayed.
Then those students lost all signs of life, lying motionless on the ground.
At the sight of this hellish scene, Izumi froze. How had the school become like this?
How had these shinobi gotten inside the school?
Izumi and Itachi knew they probably couldn't get out now. There were likely shinobi blocking the Ninja Academy's entrance too. What could they do?

"If we stick together, we still have a chance to survive!"
Itachi shouted to them.
