Things weren't looking good for Gua either. Fighting Aoba Yamashiro and Namiashi Raidō alone, he couldn't win and was simply wearing himself out.
Eventually,
Gua couldn't even keep his Two-Tomoe active anymore.
He didn't have enough chakra to keep fighting with it active.
In fact, he had only used ninjutsu once during the fight-a Great Fireball. The rest had been pure taijutsu.
Even so, his Two-Tomoe had drained his chakra dry.
With his Two-Tomoe deactivated, Gua struggled even more against Aoba Yamashiro and Namiashi Raidō. He wouldn't have stood a chance against even one of them now...
All he could do was block and dodge.
Aoba Yamashiro and Namiashi Raidō were no pushovers. Once they finally found an opening, they attacked in succession, driving Gua back.
Before he knew it,
Gua had retreated into the crowd of Ninja Academy students. Meanwhile, all the other black-clad shinobi surrounded them. Now there really was no way out.
Of the hundred-plus Ninja Academy students, only a few dozen remained.
And every last one was battered and disheveled. They had only survived by sheer luck; Gua thought it was fair to say they were barely clinging to life.
Of course, that included him.
