Gua's words made Hiruko's pupils contract slightly.
He said he had seen the future. No matter how Hiruko took it, that sounded like a joke.
Yet when he said he would kill him, he sounded utterly serious.
Would I really die?
Hiruko abruptly gathered his strength for a punch.
He refused to believe a seven-year-old child could kill him.
He already possessed four nature releases. He was already a demigod!
"An insolent brat! How dare you spout such nonsense!"
Hiruko roared in fury, driving his intact left fist straight at Gua.
But before that punch could land, Gua had already anticipated it and lunged forward.
The Short Sword in his hand thrust toward Hiruko's chest.
Gua's voice reached Hiruko's ears, cold as ice.
"I told you. I saw the future."
A chill seeped down Hiruko's back.
Despite knowing he had the protection of Steel Release, this thrust still threatened his life.
He had a feeling this blade would pierce straight through him, just as the earlier slash had cut through his wrist.
If it broke through his steel defense and pierced his body, he would die.
Horrified, Hiruko pulled his hand back and tried to retreat.
But even that movement seemed to have been anticipated.
The instant he withdrew his hand and planted a foot to leap backward, Gua suddenly accelerated.
Instead of plunging into Hiruko's chest, the blade slashed directly at his hastily withdrawn left arm.
Shing!
With a single slash, Hiruko's left arm was cleanly severed between shoulder and elbow, sending the entire arm flying high.
Hiruko's eyes filled with terror. He could not believe how his opponent had done it.
Yet the right hand flying high proved it to him. Gua really did it. He anticipated every move I made.
*Could it really be as he said?
