At the mention of Jiraiya and Tsunade, a deep gloom and resentment flashed through Danzo's eyes. He gave a heavy snort, his tone brimming with hostility and jealousy.
He knew full well.
Once Tsunade returned to Konoha, there would be no other candidate for Fifth Hokage.
His dream of becoming Hokage had shattered once again. He no longer had the slightest chance!

Overwhelming resentment gripped Danzo's heart, twisting his already gloomy mind into something even more warped and obsessive.
Meanwhile, Jiraiya and Tsunade, whom the Konoha F4 thought about every day, showed no sign of being in a hurry to return to the village.
In a small tavern somewhere, a gentle evening breeze carried the scent of liquor.
Shizune tactfully walked away, carrying the pig.
Tsunade and Jiraiya sat across from each other, leisurely sipping their drinks, relaxed and carefree.
Holding his cup, Jiraiya sighed helplessly. He looked at the tipsy Tsunade and gently urged her.
"Tsunade, come back."
"Konoha really needs you right now."
"The old man has already resigned of his own accord to take responsibility. The village is in turmoil, and the people are panicking."
"His greatest wish is for you to return and take over as Fifth Hokage."
Tsunade's cheeks were slightly flushed from the alcohol, her expression languid. She listened quietly without saying a word.
Over the years, she had seen through the Konoha High Command's filthy schemes and power struggles. She had no desire whatsoever to wade back into that mess.
Jiraiya wasn't discouraged. He was about to press his advantage and keep persuading her.
But halfway through speaking, his gaze suddenly wandered.
His expression grew lecherous,
