Hearing JARVIS's invitation and looking at the villa's open doors, Thor paused.
He couldn't help taking a deep breath to suppress his nervousness.
He rarely felt this way, but right now, the feeling was all too real.
After all, he couldn't beat either of the two people in this villa.
Even so, he didn't hesitate for long and strode straight inside.
In the living room, a flicker of surprise crossed Tony's face as he watched Thor enter, and a smile rose to his lips.
"Well, this is a rare visit. Here for Loki?"
"Yes."
Thor nodded.
Tony wasn't surprised. He and Thor weren't exactly close. Even if someone needed to see him, Nick should have come in person, so Thor could only be here for Loki.
Anyone else might have thought Thor and Loki were sworn enemies.
But Tony knew their relationship was complicated. A love-hate relationship was a more fitting description, so he had no intention of interfering.
"JARVIS, tell Loki someone is here to see him. Ask him to come out."
"Yes, sir."
JARVIS's voice rang out.
Tony gestured to Thor. "Have a seat. Want something to drink? Coffee or wine?"
Thor sat down across from Tony, looking somewhat uncomfortable with his hospitality.
After all, they had clashed plenty of times before. For things to be so cordial now felt downright strange.
He had already prepared himself to be thrown out by Tony.
"No, that's all right. I'll just wait for Loki."
Tony didn't insist. He shifted into a more comfortable position, ready to enjoy the show.
He didn't know why Thor had come, but something had to be up. Otherwise, he wouldn't be here.
So, what would Loki choose? Would he help him or not?
