Looking down at Thor, Loki felt a little panicked.
Of all the gods, Thor was undoubtedly the one who knew him and Odin best.
After all, they had dealt with each other more than a few times, so the sight of Thor instinctively made Loki feel a little guilty.
Fortunately, he quickly regained his composure and cleared his throat.
"Thor, what is it?"
Thor promptly replied, "Father, I came to bid you farewell. I intend to take Jane back to Blue Planet."
"Oh, that? Go ahead, then."
Loki waved dismissively. He had thought it would be something important and paid it no mind.
But the moment he said that, Thor's expression suddenly changed. The reverence on his face gave way to suspicion as he looked up at "Odin" on the throne.
Odin had never treated Jane like this before. He had been determined to split them up, so Thor had come prepared to be scolded.
Yet now, "Odin" had agreed outright and even urged him to leave. The sudden change felt utterly unreal.
When the Great Hall suddenly fell silent, Loki, who had only wanted to send Thor away as quickly as possible, felt his heart skip a beat. Looking down at Thor's suspicious face, he silently cursed. This is bad.
Then he pretended nothing was wrong and asked, "What is it? Is there something else?"
"No. It's just that I have another matter I'd like your help with, Father."
Thor respectfully cupped his fist in his other hand.
Loki's mouth twitched. He had no idea what Thor intended, but his instincts told him not to agree. Getting rid of him quickly would be best.
Acting on that thought, Loki cleared his throat and said, "I don't have time. Ask someone else. If there's nothing else, hurry up and leave."
