While Thor and the others battled the Shadow Eater Corps, Tony slowly opened his eyes in Asgard.
He gazed into empty space, but his attention was on Thor and the others, watching through the eyes of the Shadow Eater Corps.
He was not surprised that Thor and the others were fighting the Shadow Eater Corps. What surprised him was how they had ended up joining forces with Hela.
Shouldn't they be fighting Hela to the bitter end?
Questions flashed through his mind, and Tony's gaze grew serious.
Things seemed to have taken an inexplicable turn. Although he had only watched the movies a few times in his previous life, he knew that Hela was a villain, naturally opposed to Thor and the others.
But now the villain and the heroes had joined forces. Was it a coincidence? Or a butterfly effect I caused?
After some thought, Tony leaned toward the latter possibility.
Worlds were alive. Although they lacked a concrete consciousness, each world had its own rules.
Thus, no world wanted to be destroyed.
In the original story, Hela had tried to destroy the gods, indirectly weakening Asgard, so she had placed herself squarely in opposition to Thor and the others.
Now, Tony intended to devour all of Asgard, which was even more ruthless than Hela's plan.
By comparison, Hela destroying the gods hardly seemed like much anymore.
So had the world's will influenced them and changed the course of events?
As he pondered this in silence, Tony frowned slightly. He hated trouble, which was why he had deliberately released Hela to clear obstacles for him. But now, it seemed he had made a foolish move.
Not only had he failed to reduce his troubles, he had created an even bigger one for himself.
