Terrifying auras erupted from Hela and Doctor Doom, instantly tearing through the sky. Watching Tony slowly withdraw his hand, Doctor Doom laughed in fury. "You're the first person to scheme against me like this."
"So what?"
Tony was utterly unconcerned.
The corner of Doctor Doom's mouth twitched. He wanted to threaten him, but the words stopped before they left his lips.
He had already witnessed Tony's strength. Even working together, he and Hela had been unable to overcome Tony. They had only managed to blast him away earlier because the Flerken on Nick's shoulder had kept him occupied, yet Tony had still outmaneuvered them.
Not only had they lost the Flerken, but Nick was dead too.
Any threats now would amount to nothing more than impotent rage.
Doctor Doom's expression darkened further, but he said nothing more.
Hela frowned slightly, surveyed the battlefield, and shouted, "Retreat!"
Captain and the others were naturally unwilling to accept this. They were about to protest, but before they could speak, Hela's icy gaze swept over them, and her cold voice rang out.
"Haven't enough people died already?"
"I'll say it one more time. Retreat!"
Those words silenced Captain and the others just as they opened their mouths.
They each gave Tony a look of bitter resentment, then disengaged and withdrew from the battle.
Though the Shadowkhan pursued them relentlessly, the survivors were all formidable. It would be difficult for the Shadowkhan to finish them off in such a short time.
Unless Tony intervened.
But Tony showed no intention of doing so. He simply stood aside and quietly watched them retreat.
Once everyone from S.H.I.E.L.D. had withdrawn, Hela glanced at Doctor Doom, turned, and swiftly departed as well.
Seeing Hela leave, Doctor Doom quickly followed, but not before leaving one last remark. "We'll meet again
