"Sir, what is going on?"
"Some kind of special biotechnology?"
"Why have I never seen this, and why is there no record of it in the system?"
Just as Tony was recovering from his injuries, JARVIS's voice immediately sounded in the room.
As an artificial intelligence, although he lacked human emotions, that did not prevent him from mimicking a tone of amazement, and it also showed just how shocked JARVIS was.
Hearing this, a smile also appeared on Tony's face.
"Biotechnology, you could think of it that way, but I prefer to call this power magic."
Tony said in a pleasantly surprised tone, while JARVIS fell into a thoughtful, silent pause.
As a technological creation, he knew nothing about magic at all. Compared to these mystical things, he preferred data-backed science and technology.
"Magic? It seems human power is far more complex than I imagined."
JARVIS let out an inexplicable sigh, and then Tony's voice rang out once again.
"JARVIS, run a check on my current physical data."
"Right away, sir."
With that, JARVIS immediately began scanning, and quickly provided the answer.
"Sir, your body is very healthy right now, and your physical fitness has reached three times that of an ordinary person. You are healthier than you have ever been."
Hearing this answer, Tony finally set his mind completely at ease.
Right at that moment, the ringing of a telephone broke the quiet.
"Sir, Miss Potts is calling. Shall I put it through?"
"Put it through."
As Tony's voice fell, Miss Potts's voice instantly echoed through the villa.
"Tony, that thing you asked me to look into, I found it. Stane did indeed sell out a fair amount of the corporation's intelligence, but the evidence was all destroyed by him. I couldn't find proof, I'm sorry."
Miss Potts's tone was filled with apology.
At this, Tony's brow furrowed at first, but he quickly smoothed it out again.
"I know. Since you can't find it, there's no need to keep checking. I'll handle him using another method?"
"Alright."
Miss Potts acknowledged the instruction, but her tone could not conceal her curiosity.
She wanted to know what method Tony would use to deal with Obadiah. Still, seeing that Tony had no intention of elaborating, she did not press further and simply hung up the phone.
Once the call ended, Tony's voice sounded once more.
"JARVIS, check Obadiah's location."
"Right away, sir."
JARVIS operated at high speed. As the most sophisticated artificial intelligence in Marvel, although he knew nothing about magic, when it came to matters involving technology, no one could compare to him.
In the original timeline, aside from relying on his own brilliant brain to upgrade the Iron Man Armor, JARVIS was equally indispensable.
Even the predecessor's ability to match gods with mortal strength owed a massive part of its success to JARVIS's assistance.
Even though Tony no longer planned to follow the technological path, JARVIS remained an essential assistant.
"Sir, Obadiah's location has been found. He is currently at his own villa estate."
Receiving the answer, Tony didn't say a word. He directly put on his clothes and left the villa.
Driving a supercar, Tony headed toward the affluent district of Freedom City.
Initially, he had planned to use proper channels to kick Obadiah out of the company first, letting him fall from heaven straight into hell before taking his life.
Yet this fellow was clearly shrewder than he had imagined, leaving behind absolutely no handles or evidence.
That being the case, Tony had no choice but to take matters into his own hands by force.
For one thing, this method was the fastest; for another, having control over a unit of the Shadowkhan, he possessed sufficient confidence to deal with any danger, meaning there was naturally no need to play nice with Obadiah anymore.
Even though this fellow was a major villain in the original story, without a giant mecha, he was a nobody.
He hadn't taken the technological path in this lifetime; without his Iron Man Armor, even if Obadiah wanted to cobble together a giant mecha, he had no way of doing it.
After all, not everyone was his predecessor, able to hammer out an Iron Man Armor under crude conditions.
In a mere twenty minutes, Tony arrived at Obadiah's residence.
Ding-dong.
The doorbell rang, and a maid's voice came from inside the villa.
"Coming."
Soon, the front door opened, and the maid caught sight of Tony standing at the threshold, whereupon she respectfully said, "Mr. Tony."
"Is Uncle Stane home? I have something I'd like to see him about." Tony asked with a smile.
The maid immediately nodded, stepping aside to clear a path.
"He is. Please come with me, Mr. Tony."
Because Tony was the head of Stark Industries, the maid asked almost no questions before letting him walk straight into the villa.
Upon entering the living room, a fifty-year-old white-haired bald man instantly appeared before Tony.
He was none other than Obadiah Stane, the man with the greatest power in the entire Stark Industries empire besides Tony.
Seeing Tony, a flash of obvious surprise crossed Obadiah's face.
Earlier, he had received news of Tony's return and had even intended to go see Tony, but Tony had turned him down.
He hadn't expected Tony to come looking for him at a time like this.
Still, Obadiah hid it well. The look of surprise vanished in an instant, and a smile immediately appeared on his face as he said, "Tony, welcome back."
"You went missing for all this time, and you had me worried sick. Thank goodness God blessed you and kept you safe."
Looking at the seemingly sincere Obadiah, if he hadn't already known the old man's true colors, Tony would have almost been fooled by him.
"By the way, you just got back-instead of resting properly at home, what makes you have time to come over here?"
Obadiah found it somewhat strange, and at the same time, his heart was filled with vigilance.
As a playboy, Tony would rather go out picking up girls than spend time seeing him, let alone pay a formal visit like this.
It was practically the sun rising from the west.
Observing Obadiah's puzzled gaze, Tony smiled faintly. "Uncle Stane, I really do have something I'd like to discuss with you today."
"I hope you can sell the shares you hold to me. This is the sale contract, take a look at it."
With that, Tony placed a document down on the table.
As the second-largest shareholder of Stark Industries, the shares Obadiah controlled were by no means few.
While he wanted to wipe him out, he also wanted to get his hands on the shares, which was the exact reason he had made the trip in person.
Otherwise, he could have just dispatched the Shadow Ninjas directly, with no need to come himself at all.
As soon as these words were spoken, Obadiah's expression changed instantly.
"What do you mean by this, Tony?"
"I built Stark Industries together with your father. Are you trying to freeze me, an old veteran, out of the company now?"
Obadiah demanded.
Tony didn't try to cover it up at all, directly and generously nodding. "You guessed right, I am indeed freezing you out."
"Then I'm sorry, my shares are not for sale. Please leave!"
Obadiah said, forcefully suppressing his anger.
"Uncle Stane, that's not up to you anymore. Today, you'll sell them whether you want to or not."
As he spoke, twenty Shadow Ninjas materialized instantly within the villa, and a samurai sword gleaming with a chilling light came to rest directly against Obadiah's neck.
In an instant, Obadiah's expression underwent a dramatic shift.
