Clang, clang, clang-
Tony and Yinsen had been hammering iron blocks for half a month.
Tony had handcrafted a host of sophisticated weapons.
Yinsen was utterly awed by Tony's research skills and his ability to build technological devices by hand.
Tony had actually turned the pile of hopelessly crude sheet metal before them into new weapons and equipment.
"Yinsen, keep it up! Once we finish this hand-protection mechanism, we can get out of here!" Tony hammered away with all his might. With their weapons and full-body protective gear almost complete, only the arm protection remained.
After half a month together, Tony had come to respect Yinsen, a man who had suffered yet retained his kindness.
He even thought Yinsen was rather noble.
Just then, a Portal suddenly appeared in the small, rudimentary room where they lived.
The Portal had a very distinctive design.
Tony remembered seeing a mage's Portal before, but it hadn't looked like this.
A petite girl stepped out of the crackling Portal. "Tony Stark? The professor sent me to rescue you."
Her voice was clear, but she was sparing with her words and clearly had no intention of saying more than necessary.
The professor?
"Who are you?" Tony looked completely bewildered.
Did I know some supernatural faction?
"Blink." Blink folded her arms without another word, waiting for Tony to enter the Portal and escape.
With no time for lengthy explanations, Blink prepared to take Tony and Yinsen straight out of there.
Since someone had come to rescue him, Tony figured he should leave first and worry about the rest later.
Tony and Yinsen quickly packed up the weapons they had made.
Then they followed Blink into the Portal.
Yet the moment Tony passed through the Space Portal Blink had opened, he suddenly collapsed unconscious.
