Arthur had already restricted his movements, leaving him no chance to pull any tricks.

It seemed he could only wait for death. Yet the Virus King neither lost his composure nor screamed. Instead, he looked as though he were preparing to attend a grand banquet, calm and collected, with a peculiar air of elegance.
