Before long, Thor returned, bringing his mother, Frigga, with him.

The moment Jane saw Frigga,

she could not help marveling that such an extraordinarily noble being existed in the world.

An inexplicable nervousness rose within her. She dared not look directly at Queen Frigga, as though her gaze might sully this perfect queen.

"You must be the Jane Foster Thor mentioned."

Frigga did not particularly care about the distinction between Gods and mortals. She walked over to Jane Foster, a light shining in her eyes as she carefully studied the girl before her.

She did not mind what race her child chose a partner from, but she did care about that person's character.

After studying her for a while, Frigga smiled gently. "Such a kindhearted girl. No wonder Thor is so devoted to you that he would defy his father's orders to bring you to Asgard for treatment."

Jane Foster's cheeks flushed crimson. "Thank you for the compliment," she said shyly. "You are the most beautiful goddess I have ever seen."

As they exchanged pleasantries, they slowly entered the God of Medicine's palace.

Under the God of Medicine's guidance, Jane Foster lay down on Asgard's specialized medical table, ready for a more detailed examination.

As the examination progressed, Jane Foster's expression grew increasingly strained. She even felt as though something were stirring inside her.

Frigga's expression also grew unusually grave!

The God of Medicine recorded certain segments from time to time, as though witnessing something unbelievable.

"Mother, how is Jane?"

Thor was not as oblivious as he had once been. Naturally, he noticed the grim look on Frigga's face.

"Jane, what happened?"

The God of Medicine said slowly, "By the usual definition of life, Miss Jane should already be dead."

"Dead?" Thor's eyes widened as far as they could go.
