Almus dared not lose his composure in front of Yhwach. He could only purse his lips, a sinister menace crossing his face as he said, "I was surrounded and attacked by Thor in Asgard, along with that old bastard All-Father Odin, Frost Loki, and Sylvie, the heir to the throne. How are we supposed to wage war without dealing with them? We'd probably be beaten flat the moment the fighting started."
"Them?" A cold smile curled Yhwach's lips. "Don't worry about them. That so-called Thor comes from the future. He'll leave this world before long. As for Loki and Thor, All-Father Odin merely built up their reputations as mighty warriors so he wouldn't be left without a worthy successor after his death."
"A Thor from the future, and warriors whose reputations were manufactured?"
Almus felt that sounded rather dubious, yet there seemed to be some credibility to it.
"But how can an Asgardian from the future interfere with the present world?" Almus asked, puzzled.
"Perhaps he comes from Parallel Worlds. Or perhaps someone interfered with the process." Yhwach walked to the edge of a cliff. "Or perhaps this world has gone mad."
Almus nodded and continued, "Even without Thor standing in our way, what about All-Father Odin? What's going to hold him back? As long as Odin remains in Asgard, we have no chance of success."
"You've been sealed away for so long that you know nothing about much of what happened, do you? Soon after Odin crushed the last remnants of the Dark Elves' resistance, he fell out with his eldest daughter, Hela. He'd also fallen out with his elder brother, the Midgard Serpent Jörmungandr, years earlier. He sealed those two Skyfather Level beings away, one after the other."
Yhwach scoffed. "Odin is probably still agonizing over how to
