"Beep, beep, beep-"
"Alert! Mysterious superhumans have suddenly appeared across the globe!"
A shrill alarm rang through the Avengers Compound.
An enormous mechanical eye suddenly emerged from the compound's underground level.
"Tony, is this the latest robot you've been working on?" Steve, Captain America, turned a suspicious gaze on Tony.
But Tony stared blankly ahead, his eyes lifeless.
Everyone sensed that something was wrong. If Tony had really built it, surely he would have told them beforehand.
The enormous mechanical eye turned its gaze toward the Avengers' meeting room. Captain America, Mister Fantastic, and the others all felt an inexplicable pressure.
"Tony, why is the robot staring at us?"
Captain America's heart tightened, but with no particularly outstanding superpowers, he felt nothing else.
The other superhumans present who possessed sensory abilities, however, felt a sense of foreboding.
Daredevil, whose senses were the strongest, even felt as though a mountain were pressing down on him. His body trembled uncontrollably, and he could not move.
A moment later, he focused his senses on the robot before him.
The pressure that had appeared so suddenly vanished as he examined it carefully, as though it had never been real.
Yet in truth, no one knew what was going on.
Cold sweat broke out on Daredevil's skin. That eerie sensation had never disappeared; it had merely weakened.
He stared intently at the enormous mechanical eye that had suddenly appeared, then at the strangely behaving Tony Stark. An ominous suspicion rose in his heart.
Captain America stepped forward, walked up to Tony, and asked, "Tony, did you build the enormous mechanical eye outside the door?"
"That's right." Tony's voice was mechanical and devoid of emotion.
"Then that's strange. Why are they targeting us?" Thor asked.
Captain America said gravely, "If the Sentinels are meant to safeguard
