Alt Corporation's initial recruitment stage had ended, and all nineteen applicants interviewed in the first half had failed.
Those who remained were the applicants who had performed relatively well in the previous stage.
Miss Yucas was naturally among them.
The harshness of the interviews had made quite a few applicants consider backing out, and it had naturally left Miss Yucas feeling somewhat uneasy as well.
She knew who the chief interviewer was: Esnie, the [Black Valkyrie]. Granted, her injuries had been the main reason she had lost to Esnie last time, but that did not mean the girl's strength was beneath hers.
Quite the opposite. Passing the interview without revealing her true strength would be an enormous challenge for Yucas.
Before long, it was Miss Yucas's turn to take the test.
As the electronic announcement sounded, Yucas took a deep breath and headed toward the interview room.
Inside the interview room, Miss Esnie still wore her Tactical Mask.
When she saw who had entered, Miss Esnie paused briefly, but soon returned to normal.
Looking at Yucas, Esnie wasted no words. She tossed her a wooden tactical longsword, then picked up a seemingly harmless tactical sword herself.
Although the weapons looked harmless, made of wood and without sharpened edges, they were still lethal in the hands of a true expert.
Based on the earlier interviews, Yucas had assumed she would be tested on skills such as hand-to-hand combat. Who would have thought Esnie would suddenly change the test when her turn came?
"The test is armed combat. The interview is primarily intended to assess an employee's overall capabilities."
Seemingly noticing the girl's confusion, Miss Esnie offered a reasonably plausible explanation.
But a moment later, before Yucas could prepare herself, Miss Esnie leaned forward and charged at her.
