A single arcanist in the wild might have to brave wind and sleep under the open sky, but a group of arcanists in the wild was basically on a leisure trip.

Star Country had always valued environmental protection, because air quality directly affected the strength of the Starry Sky. If air pollution became so severe that even Starlight could not shine through, Multistar Supreme would teach them the meaning of cruelty. Not only did factories and cities have strict waste-discharge mechanisms, but developing uninhabited areas and felling forests also required layer after layer of approval. As a result, there were still vast ancient jungles beyond the outskirts of the cities. Aside from the rumbling trains that occasionally startled flocks of birds into flight, this forest remained as silent and tranquil as it had been in prehistoric times.

Earth Arcanists dug pits, Water Arcanists guided underground water, and even while fleeing for their lives, the arcanists of the Four Pillar Gods Church easily created hot-spring baths. First toes touched the hot water, then calves sank beneath the surface, and then bodies lazily reclined until the water covered their collarbones. As their exhausted bodies soaked in the rippling hot springs, all the day's toil seemed to be rewarded.

Those in the Upper Position naturally would not bathe with their subordinates. The Four Pillar Gods Church had never been some great organization of equality and freedom. Daedalus had originally prepared only one bath for Ash and the others, but after some wavering, Sonia and the others still decided to divide the bath in two: Ash used one side, Sonia and the others used the other, and bamboo was used as a divider in the middle.

Honestly, this kind of barrier might not even be useful against a One-Winged Arcanist, let alone a quasi-Demigod.
