Ash kept both hands in the pockets of his windbreaker and looked at the skyline hidden within the Steel Jungle, where the bare branches, stripped of dead leaves, were heavy with snow.

There was a bookstore up ahead. Ash glanced at it, his gaze lingering on a poster for a moment.

On the poster was a mysterious figure in dark gothic clothing, seated upright on a high stool. She had her head lowered and held a chain in both hands, her appearance making it impossible to tell her age or gender. Behind her were hundreds of Ghost Giants sitting on spiked benches. The ghosts were covered in festering wounds, their faces terrified, and without exception, shackles bound their hands and feet. The chains of those shackles converged together, connecting to the chain in the mysterious figure's hands.
