The Undead Ark was easy to recognize. Ash had not even seen its main body yet when, from afar, he saw the Forgotten One army and the dazzling lights and roaring waves stirred up by their indiscriminate bombardment. Even from several kilometers away, Ash had no choice but to unfold his Holy Domain to isolate himself from the shock ripples produced by the divine war.
The air was filled with distorted electromagnetic radiation and sound-and-light pollution. Spatial rifts even sliced through it from time to time. Ordinary creatures could not survive here for even a second, and even a Legend Holy Domain could barely keep itself alive only at the edge. More terrifying still, the closer one got to the Undead Ark, the more violent the elemental turbulence in the air became. It was practically like a sealed room filled with flour and gasoline, where striking a single spark at random could cause an explosion.

Not only would terrain and celestial phenomena shift, but the air would also become saturated with highly concentrated elements. This was the Half Gods' spellcasting aid and battle ripples, but to mortals, it was a cursed storm even worse than toxic radiation.
When only one kilometer remained, Ash could finally see the Undead Ark clearly—it was less an ark than a waterborne fortress shaped like a Boat.
The Undead Ark was shrouded in a gentle curtain. Even under siege by over a thousand Forgotten Ones, it remained peaceful and serene, like a graveyard bathed in moonlight, while the Forgotten Ones were like noisy vultures circling dead vines and withered trees.
"What an amazing defensive miracle." Hidden in the shadows, Ash
