Secalia.
An utterly ordinary agricultural town in the northeast of Starry Sky, a place you could not even find on a map. Its name came from Lord Secalia, who had opened up this land a thousand years ago. That obscure nobleman had lived and multiplied here, and only then had people come to inhabit this land. If their bloodlines were traced back, eighty percent of the residents carried that lord's blood in their veins.
It was not until half a year ago that this agricultural town was registered on the newest map of Starry Sky. Before that, even the most detailed military maps would only note that there were stretches of farmland here, as if fields could grow grain all by themselves.
The sky had only just begun to brighten when Martha got up and folded her quilt. Perhaps because she was getting on in years, she had been sleeping less and less over the past year. Sometimes she would lie quietly in bed until dawn. She went out to the yard and drew well water to wash up. It was not that they had no running water, but well water was free.
A faint chill hung in the air. Martha mixed coarse grain and fine Feed, then carried the food basin and water basin to feed the chickens. After arranging breakfast for the chickens, she watered the Wind Ship Kudzu. Occasionally, she would take the tenderer leaves of the Wind Ship Kudzu and cook them.
Then she drank a cup of lightly salted water, put on a thin jacket and a pair of spotless running shoes, and stepped into the morning fog.
