"Until you returned from Hell. I saw that your Fate Trace had faded a great deal, leaving only the Bond Silk behind, and I knew there was no longer anyone who could stop us from connecting. So I tied the thread between us... and that's why I can borrow your Void Wings, Ash."
"How did you tie it!?" Ash immediately asked.
"Ash," Starry Sky said, looking at him with a mixture of amusement and exasperation, "whether it's Philly or Starry Sky, neither of us could possibly support you connecting with even more women, right?"
"Starry Sky certainly wouldn't let me gain more help," Ash said calmly. "But Philly would."
Starry Sky paused slightly, then looked away, tucking the hair at both sides behind her ears as a trace of tenderness unconsciously showed. "Yes, I would, but... Starry Sky wouldn't."
"So what state are you two in, exactly? Split personality? Two souls in one body?" Ash asked. "And since you can borrow my Void Wings, why can't I borrow yours?"
"Because the one who shares Co-birth and Co-death with you is Philly, while Starry Sky is an enemy who has nothing to do with you." Starry Sky's smile faded. At that moment, she seemed neither Philly nor Starry Sky, but a third party who had pulled herself free. "The one truly borrowing your Void Wings is Philly, but what belongs to Philly belongs to Starry Sky too, so Starry Sky can use your Void Wings as well."
"But what belongs to Starry Sky does not belong to Philly. Philly is only a
