Ash understood at once. "You mean... the boat that transports Death Row Inmates?"
The Healer nodded. "Broken Lake Prison is located in the middle of Broken Lake. Aside from boats and flight, there's no other way to travel there. But the nearby airspace is a military no-fly zone. All flying objects are scanned and verified, and anything without flight clearance will be shot down by the prison's deployed [Lex Rapid-Fire Cannon]. As for the waters, they're filled with large schools of Finger Sharks. Unless you're a Fishman, even an arcanist specialized in defense would have a hard time swimming out underwater."
"There has only ever been one way to escape prison from beginning to end: leave on the boat that transports Death Row Inmates. Even we and the Prison Guards have to take that boat to and from Broken Lake Prison. No exceptions. The prison's supplies are also delivered along the way when prisoners are transported."
Even thinking with his toenails, Ash knew that boat had to be heavily guarded, and there was absolutely no way a death row inmate could hide aboard and escape. But at least he now had the right direction to think in, preventing awkward situations like him trying to dig through the sewers only to disturb the Finger Sharks at mealtime.
"Really no exceptions?"
Ash had only asked offhandedly and had not expected anything. Yet after thinking for a moment, the Healer actually nodded.
"There is one, actually. According to the law, if the mayor is subjected to extremely serious accusations while in office, but key evidence like memory evidence can't be found, the mayor must immediately step down from all duties and be temporarily detained in the nearest Blood Moon Prison—the only Blood Moon Prison in
