"Ash Xiu Xiu Xiu Xiu..."
In the villa's indoor library, Ash turned his head and saw Rose standing in the doorway in Elk Pajamas, rubbing her eyes while holding an extremely strange doll.
"Did I wake you?"
Rose shook her head. "What do you want to drink? Coffee, juice, or milk tea?"
"No need. Go back to sleep." Ash smiled. "I'm just going to read here for a while."
"No. If you're awake, I have to be awake too, so I can satisfy your wildly imaginative needs at any moment, lest you kill someone without me even knowing."
Rose yawned as she walked over. She noticed Ash staring at the doll in her arms and introduced it. "This is Mr. Fish, my good friend. Mr. Fish, this is my employer, Ash Hiss."
In Rose's arms was a huge golden eyeball doll. The golden eyeball was entwined by eight white wings, and the white wings were covered in eyeballs too.
Ash started to speak, stopped, then wanted to speak again, and in the end decided it was better not to share his opinion. "Hello, Mr. Fish."
Rose set Mr. Fish aside, then walked behind Ash with a sleepy expression and stretched out her ten slender fingers to gently press the back of Ash's head. It was like a pianist touching a Steinway, a chef touching Lala Fat. Ash almost felt as if his head had been born for her fingers; with one casual press, an achingly numb and incomparably comfortable sensation spread through his skull.
He gave a wry smile. "Go back to sleep. I just couldn't sleep, so I came down to reread the materials. I won't do anything reckless."
Rose answered with a string of mm-hmms, without the slightest intention of leaving. Helpless, Ash asked, "How did you know
