By the time the Stars stirred up a meteor shower, dawn was nearly breaking over Star Country. As meteors shot up from the ground toward the Sky Curtain, the false starry sky was torn open with rift after rift, and the light countless people had imagined in their minds yet never prayed for was squeezing, bit by bit, into this land that had been sealed for a thousand years.
This venue, once regarded as Rain Dunling's landmark and pride, now had nothing left but the main stage. The ground had been overturned several times, water pipes and power cables lay exposed, as if some monster had wreaked havoc here.
Of course, there were no monsters. Only artificers fighting.
Sonia carved out a Sword Mark that stretched a hundred meters across. Nothing in her field of vision could cross that Sword Mark, and behind her, the phantom of the Extinct Resentful Blaze Dragon flickered in and out of sight. The Love Letter battlefield she had built was as unbreakable as a fortress. The Multistar Artificers looked up at the four-winged Sword Maiden, and though they outnumbered her by hundreds, by thousands, a powerful helplessness still rose in their hearts, as if they were facing a landslide, a tsunami, a force of violence no number of people could ever conquer.
This was the first time the girl had fought outside the Academy, the first time she had engaged in a lawless battle to the death, the first time she had revealed her true fangs—yet on that very first time, she tasted what it was like to trample the world beneath her feet. To debut at the peak was the wail mortals made when facing a monster like this.
