Chapter Summaries

Annan and Funeral fought a losing battle against ten Saint Domain Artificers while Annan reflected that the Gospel had warned her to leave Ash. Elsewhere, Liss was torn apart and teleported away from Ash, who accepted Yayin’s residence within him and fought on as his memories and sense of self began to disappear.

• Annan told Igula that the Gospel’s Calamity Eye and Liberation Tongue rewards had warned her to cut ties with Ash, but she had ignored the warning.
• Harvey used his own body to restore Alice and unleash shadow powers, while Bange and Igula used their Miracles to help Funeral resist the Saint Domain Artificers.
• Igula and Annan acknowledged that the group was being worn down and would die protecting Annan, and Annan said she would have used Liberation Tongue to free Ash from a burden.
• A Saint Domain Sniper Rifle bullet split Liss in half, and spatial teleportation pulled her away as Ash reached for her.
• Ash attacked the surrounding Saint Domain Artificers with abilities from several Spell Schools after declaring that he was no longer afraid.
• Ash continued fighting as Yayin’s presence hollowed out his memories and identity, and he resolved to come to his companions’ aid.

Ash killed the Empress Isu and took the throne as the new emperor, while Lysithea completed the Bronze Dragon trial and awakened the sealed personality known as Sleeping Beauty. Lysithea asked her to save Ash.

• Ash confronted the Empress Isu, who pressed her throat against his sword and died, transferring the Divine Spirit to him.
• Ash sat on the throne as the storm calmed and those present knelt before him.
• Lysithea learned that the Empress's death had ended the Bronze Dragon trial, then used Reverse Sun to return herself to the appearance of little girl Lis.

Sonia won the Meteor Tribulation semifinal against Chelus, but collapsed afterward when the Co-birth blessing activated. Held by Tello Zan, she broke down over her inability to help with something she desperately wanted to do.

• Sonia defeated Chelus and was announced as the winner of the semifinal, earning a place in the finals.
• Chelus recognized that Sonia had sensed the spatial trajectories of his Piercing Void shots and wished her luck facing the threat ahead.

• Diya and Ash soaked in the hot spring and discussed Ash’s lost powers, the danger of returning to the outside world, and their hope of settling down together.

Ash returned to himself after the Divine Spirit left his soul, but the First Gospel had changed its name to Di Yin. He woke in the Banquet Hall to find Lise alive and learned she was now the First Gospel, introducing herself as Lysithea.

• Ash watched from a strange, powerless state as Apathy, Anger, and Madness argued over his fate and discussed the Omniscient Weaver's plans.
• The Gospel List changed its first place entry to Di Yin, and Ash fainted from the strain of the Divine Spirit leaving his soul.
• Ash woke on the Banquet Hall throne with the White-Haired Little Girl asleep on him, and she assured him that Annan, Igula, Harvey, and Bange had survived.
• The White-Haired Little Girl told Ash she had canceled Annan's wanted order because she was now the First Gospel Di Yin.
• The girl introduced herself to Ash as Lysithea.

Ash learned that Lise had sacrificed herself so Lysithea could become the First Gospel, and that Lysithea would soon lose her self-awareness. After Ash’s attempts to save Lise failed, Lysithea urged him to leave the Gospel with Nicole Na Lu’s Fate before the finalization.

• Ash realized that Lise had replaced him as the Divine Spirit’s sacrifice and asked Lysithea whether Lise was gone.
• Lysithea explained that Lise was asleep, that the Isu Royal Family had raised her as the true Princess, and that she had only ninety-three minutes before becoming Di Yin completely.
• Lysithea revealed that Elder Sister Nina was a lie and had sacrificed her Fate to help Lise become the First Gospel.
• Ash proposed using God Lord’s Wish and his Contract with Lys to save Lise, but Lysithea explained that neither could prevent the First Gospel from taking a host.
• Lysithea reasoned that Ash’s future as Yayin was a dead end in which he merged with the Divine Spirit, then told him to take Nicole Na Lu’s Fate and leave the Gospel.
• Lysithea said Ash had to leave the Gospel within eighty-nine minutes.

Lysithea urged Ash and his companions to flee Gospel Country before Di Yin could wear down their ambitions, but Ash discovered a way to help Diya resist the Gospel God. After giving Diya his Soul Summoning Spell Spirit, Ash saw her wake without fear.

• Lysithea explained that Di Yin would trap Ash and his companions in lives of trivial concerns, and urged them to leave Gospel Country for Modola.
• Ash resisted leaving, then remembered his Drama Poet blessing, Gift, and realized he could transfer the Soul Summoning Spell Spirit.
• Ash used Gift to give Lysithea the Soul Summoning Spell Spirit, causing her to grow sleepy as the Gospel God’s influence shifted.
• Diya opened her eyes, and the Sisters woke as the Gospel God held the Soul Summoning Spell Spirit rather than attacking them.
• Ash asked Diya how she felt, and she said she was no longer afraid.

Di Yin returned to Ash as Lise, but the Secret-Keeping Authority bound her to hide her identity and feelings to keep the Gospel God from consuming her soul. When the Gospel God opened a door inside her, Ash and Di Yin were pulled into Omniscient Heaven and met Bell, an angel under the Weaver Lord.

• Sword Maiden questioned Watcher about his secrets, and Watcher nearly revealed that Witch was the person he liked most.
• Diya realized Ash was also Watcher and suspected that a god had been serving and protecting him.
• Di Yin reunited with Ash as Lise but could not tell him who she was because the Secret-Keeping Authority forced her to conceal her identity.
• Di Yin resolved to keep her secrets hidden while hoping to find another way to control the god and remain with Ash.
• The blindfolded Gospel God revealed a door inside Di Yin and pulled her and Ash into Omniscient Heaven.
• Ash and Di Yin met Bell, who introduced herself as an angel under the Weaver Lord.

Ash and Diya reached the final inheritance trial in Omniscient Heaven, where Bell explained that Diya could continue weaving Gospel, burn its web to make a wish, or leave the web intact. Diya chose to inherit Gospel and return with Ash, and Bell offered them an Angel’s Wish.

• Bell explained that the spider web contained Gospel’s plan for the lives of its people and that Diya could inherit it, burn it for a wish, or let Gospel’s ability to regulate fate end.
• Ash realized that Annan’s plan to use Yayin to burn the web and wish for Yayin and Ash to coexist had nearly succeeded.
• Ling told Ash and Diya that the unfated were living happily in the Weaver’s heaven, and that Diya could still bring Nina back to reality if she wished.
• Diya asked Ash what he wanted, remembered Nina and the unfated, then gripped the Causeless Spider Silk and chose to inherit Gospel.
• Ash urged Bell to send them back, and Bell offered them an Angel’s Wish instead of the God Lord’s Wish.

The Bell Listener Angel granted Diya a Fairy Tale Spell Spirit that concealed the Gospel God and Soul Summoning Spell Spirit, then offered Ash and Diya a chance to stay in Omniscient Heaven. They refused and returned to Nabistin, where their companions questioned Ash about his Wish.

• Bell immobilized Ash and Diya, demonstrated how her Sound Spell recreated divine miracles, and used World Fusion to hide Diya’s Gospel God and Soul Summoning Spell Spirit inside a newly named Fairy Tale Spell Spirit.

• Annan asked Diya whether she could lift the Gospel’s curse on the Dolan Family, and Diya explained that its hatred would grow until it threatened the Gospel System.
• Qinna offered to use family resources to ease the curse, but Annan challenged her loyalty before Diya agreed to suppress the Gospel’s malice in exchange for dissolving Annan’s Contracts with Ash, Bo Jin, and Harvey.
• Annan accepted the condition and asked whether Diya could also change the Gospel System, prompting Qinna and Ifrin to interrupt her proposals to weaken powerful families.
• Annan explained that Bange would need seventeen years to grow up again after overusing Miracle, and Ash took the baby in his arms while Annan admitted she was inexperienced at caring for children.
• Ash’s Gospel glowed green and burst open, sending countless vines out before anyone else’s Gospel showed a response.

Ash was caught in a Summoning Miracle unleashed by vines, and Diya realized the Omniscient Weaver had manipulated events to make him the target. As the vines prepared to take Ash away, he urged Diya to stay in Gospel Country, master the Gospel, and find him so they could take revenge together.

• Ash and the others attacked the Gospel’s vines with miracles, but their powers could not harm them.
• Ifrin caught Little Bange as the vines formed a fortress around Ash and tried to seize the others.
• Diya identified the vines as a Summoning Miracle, and Ash deduced that it targeted him because he had once been named First Gospel Yin.
• Diya realized the Omniscient Weaver had arranged Ash’s selection and hidden the Gospel God and Secret Incarnation within her to make the deception possible.
• Diya prepared to expose the Gospel God, but Ash asked her to remain in Gospel Country, master the Gospel, and reunite with him to destroy Omniscient Heaven.

Ash, Harvey, and Igula left Gospel Country in the Vine Fortress after saying farewell to Diya and the others. They arrived in Oasis as the First Gospel, where a priest announced that the Four Pillar Gods Church had attacked.

• Ash encouraged Diya to choose her own path and promised to support her, but Diya stayed in Gospel to inherit the Spider Web's legacy.
• Harvey chose to leave with Ash, while Annan stayed behind to care for Liss and Little Bange, and Igula decided to remain in Gospel with Anfield.
