The open-air bar was still bustling, but it was no longer quite so busy.

Song Yunxing handed over the last Margarita with a smile. "Your Margarita is ready."

Only after the last customer left did the smile fade from Song Yunxing's face.

"Is your hand all right?" Shen Yanci set down his cocktail shaker and took Song Yunxing by the wrist.

"What could possibly be wrong? He was just some annoying foreign guy. If the cameras hadn't been there, he'd have died a hundred times over!" The young man's expression grew cold.

"I'm not that easy to push around. Without the cameras, I'd have served him a knuckle sandwich." Song Yunxing clenched his fist, gritting his teeth.

Shen Yanci's eyes darkened slightly. A red scratch stood out starkly against the snowy skin on the back of the young man's hand.

"It's fine. Just a scratch." Song Yunxing awkwardly pulled his hand free, curling his fingertips inward.

"I'll put some ointment on it when we get back." Shen Yanci casually wiped the fingerprints off the cocktail shaker.

"There's no need to go to all that trouble..." Song Yunxing was about to refuse when his stomach let out a loud growl.

Song Yunxing covered his stomach in embarrassment, the tips of his ears turning red.

To practice making cocktails, he had pushed straight through from afternoon until evening, even skipping dinner.

It was an old habit of his. Whenever he got serious about something, he forgot to eat.

Shen Yanci had been teaching him the whole time and had gone hungry along with him.

Shen Yanci's expression remained unchanged, but his hand instinctively reached for his trouser pocket.

Finding it unexpectedly empty, he frowned slightly and lifted the hinged section of the bar counter.
