Icirrus City Public Library.
After Li Wei, Cynthia, and the others split into three groups, Cynthia took Iris to the public library.
Earlier, Cynthia had used her money power
to have the library staff help find information on Eindoak Town and the Land of the Earth.
She had already successfully located the Dragon Vein's critical nodes.
Next came the Guardian Pillars.
Before Steven's battle with Zekrom even began, Cynthia had already started looking for information on the Guardian Pillars.
Icirrus City Public Library even had rubbings of the Guardian Pillars' design plans from a thousand years ago.
As for the original design plans,
those were in the Icirrus City Museum.
Cynthia did not need them yet,
but if she did,
she could borrow the originals.
Using the rubbings, Cynthia explained to Iris,
"Look at these patterns. They don't look like mere decorations. They look more like circuits for channeling the Dragon Vein's energy."
Cynthia pointed to several critical nodes in the patterns and used a few books to explain further to Iris,
"These travel accounts mention that, at specific times, ancient priests could use chanting or spiritual resonance
to activate the Guardian Pillars, allowing them to regulate or guide the flow of energy through the earth to some extent."
Understanding dawned on Iris.
"So the key to controlling the pillars isn't a physical switch or some complicated mechanism, but resonance? You need to establish a deep connection with the power flowing through the earth?"
"That's the most reasonable theory we have right now."
Cynthia closed the book before her.
A light gleamed in her silver-gray eyes.
In short-to control the Guardian Pillars, they needed one of the People of the Land, or one of their descendants.
Or someone who could resonate with the earth.
Giovanni of the Earth, perhaps?
Still,
