It was the night of November 24.
On the Hot Spring Wellness Center's first evening in business, its lights were still blazing.
Although guests couldn't stay overnight at the Hot Spring Wellness Center, the nearby hotel was already open for stays.
Night had fallen, and the stars above Jubilife City shone clearly, complementing the warm lights within the Theme Park.
Most guests had returned to their rooms to rest, and the bustle of the day gradually faded into silence.
With the recording of "Oración" by Yumi's Meloetta playing over the speakers, and Cresselia's soothing aura,
the visitors who had enjoyed themselves all day gradually drifted off to sleep in the peaceful night.
In a secluded courtyard behind the Wellness Center,
Li Wei and N sat side by side on a stone bench along the corridor, facing a carefully tended landscape of rocks and water.
Li Wei had come here to talk at N's invitation.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have bothered. Wouldn't heading back to his room to cuddle Victini or Cynthia have been better?
"The stars here don't seem any different from the ones I saw in Unova and Hoenn."
N gazed up at the stars, his voice calm and distant.
"No matter where we sit, we're looking at the same sky."
Li Wei refused to get sentimental.
N remained entirely unaffected by Li Wei.
"But the land beneath our feet is especially peaceful."
After gazing into the moonlight for a long while,
N turned to Li Wei and shared the story of his travels over the past year.
"I went to Hoenn and saw Mt. Chimney, as well as the quiet eternity of Mt. Pyre."
"The connection to the land, sea, and sky is so close there. They showed me how great, yet fragile, the balance of nature is."
