They happened to encounter a family of Torterra on the move, so Li Wei stopped one to introduce them.
"Torterra are very common Pokémon in Sinnoh. I won't go over most of the basics, since they're all in the Pokédex."
"What I wanted to tell you about was their backs. Lots of Pokémon like to live and build nests on a Torterra's back."
"This Pikachu used to be a Pichu. Its friendship with this Torterra grew strong enough for it to evolve into Pikachu."

The livestream viewers didn't believe him.
"When have I ever lied to you? Especially about Pokémon knowledge. I never lie about that."
