On May 1,
at eight o'clock sharp in the morning,
an earthquake rocked the gaming industry.
Legendary Trainer and Master Breeder Li Wei,
together with Steven, the Devon Corporation's young heir and former Hoenn Champion, had founded a game studio, and its debut titles,
"Pokémon FireRed" and "Pokémon LeafGreen,"
unlocked simultaneously on multiple digital platforms worldwide!
This launch did not happen quietly.
Over the preceding weeks, thanks to Li Wei and Steven's enormous influence, along with prime-time special coverage by Sinnoh NOW TV Station,
the games' trailers and promotional material had already sparked the curiosity of countless Trainers and gaming enthusiasts.
Even more astonishingly,
on launch day, several Champion Trainers-including Cynthia of Sinnoh and Steven of Hoenn,
Diantha of Kalos, and even Lance, Red, and Blue, the current Viridian Gym Leader-
all shared the games' launch post on the social platform IS, seemingly without coordinating!
All right, they had actually coordinated.
They had discussed it in the Chat Group.
The day before, Cynthia had shared the trailer for "Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen," adding:
[One journey, two perspectives. Relive the birth of a legend, and perhaps discover a new understanding of battles and bonds.]
Red's account was exceedingly minimalist. He merely shared the trailer with a long string of ellipses: "..."
But that alone was enough to send his fans wild.
Blue was as insufferably cocky as ever.
"Let the world see what the path of a true powerhouse looks like! The [LeafGreen] version awaits your challenge."
Comments quickly appeared beneath Blue's post,
with "It's our tsundere Gym Leader!" among the most popular.
Steven: [May this adventure be etched into the enduring stone. I'm delighted to present this work together with @Li Wei, and I hope everyone enjoys it.]
Diantha: [Brilliant dual narratives and moving characterization! This is undoubtedly a masterpiece
