Akala Island, Lush Jungle.
This trip to gather ingredients for Akala curry was actually a trial that Island Kahuna Olivia had set for Ash.
With the Mago Berries they had gathered, Ash and Mallow followed Pokédex Rotom's directions,
entering the densely overgrown Lush Jungle, where dappled light filtered through the canopy, to search for a rare Miracle Seed.
The earthy scent of soil filled the air. Their surroundings were quiet, save for the rustle of fallen leaves beneath their feet.
Ash looked around curiously.
"Don't you think it's really quiet here?"
"The atmosphere here is so special. It feels full of life." Mallow took a deep breath, sensing the flourishing vitality around her.
Quiet-it certainly was quiet.
But all Mallow sensed was nature's vitality.
"The Miracle Seed has to be nearby!" Brimming with determination, Ash led the way with Pikachu and Rowlet.
"Are you really that sure, Ash?"
"Of course! You've got to believe in Pikachu!"
Pikachu had seen a Miracle Seed before and knew what it smelled like.
Pikachu sniffed along the ground.
Suddenly, Pikachu's ears pricked up.
"Pika!"
There really was a Miracle Seed's scent here.
"Let's go!"
Following Pikachu, they arrived at a hollowed-out tree trunk filled with Berries.
"Are you sure Pikachu didn't just come looking for food?"
Still, Mallow was quite surprised.
"Why are there so many Berries here?"
Pikachu and Rowlet had already started looking for Berries to eat, just as Mallow had quipped.
Meanwhile, Ash searched intently through the Berries for the Miracle Seed.
"This is it, right, Mallow?"
Among the pile of Berries, Ash found a grass-green Miracle Seed about the size of an olive.
"That's right! That's it!"
Mallow compared it with the picture Olivia had given her.
"This is the Miracle Seed!"
Pokédex Rotom confirmed it as well.
"Beep beep!
