Its power far surpassed Torracat's Fire Blast.
Even if Ash had ordered Torracat to use Fire Blast, it could never have blocked that attack.

"Look out, Torracat! Dodge Quickly!"
But Incineroar's Blast Burn covered an enormous area, cutting off much of Torracat's room to dodge.
Just as the scorching torrent of destruction was about to engulf Torracat, at the last possible moment,
Torracat chose not to dodge. After glancing at Ash, it did something that stunned everyone.
Torracat charged straight at Blast Burn.
It planted its feet and thrust out its chest, aiming the strange fire bell around its neck at the surging Blast Burn!
The flame patterns on the bell flashed fiercely, actually stopping Blast Burn in its tracks!
"What?!"
Ji Qiu and Professor Kukui were dumbfounded.
Kiawe, Lana, and the others watching were stunned too.
"You can take on Blast Burn like that?"
After about ten seconds,
Blast Burn was forcibly drawn into the fire bell like rivers flowing into the sea!

The entire audience stared, mouths agape.
After absorbing Blast Burn, the surface of the fire bell glowed a translucent red, as though it were about to melt.
Torracat's body trembled violently.
It was clearly under tremendous strain as the savage flames, which were not its own, rampaged through its body,
causing it immense pain.
Ash instantly understood what Torracat intended.
It wanted to do things its own way,
absorbing and overcoming those powerful flames.
