Ash sent out his next Pokémon.
"I choose you-Pikachu!"
"Pika-chu!!!"
Pikachu leaped excitedly onto the field, fierce sparks bursting from its cheek pouches and its tail held high.
Stealth Rock activated instantly. Several rocks silently appeared around Pikachu and exploded, striking it.
"Are you okay, Pikachu?"
"Pika!"
Pikachu shook its head, then nodded.
"Pikachu, Quick Attack!"
The classic Quick Attack opening.
So very Ash.
Li Wei and the others were all used to it.
Even Pikachu had it down to muscle memory.
Pikachu's figure instantly blurred, becoming a streak of white light almost impossible to track with the naked eye.
In the blink of an eye, Pikachu was already behind Regirock.
"Behind you!"
The massive Regirock tried to turn,
but its heavy body could hardly turn that easily.
"Now, Electroweb!"
Ash's command and Pikachu's movements were perfectly in sync.
Pikachu stopped abruptly, sailed into the air, and flicked its tail.
A golden net woven from powerful electric currents flew from Pikachu's tail like a fishing net,
draping precisely over Regirock's massive body.
Electroweb not only dealt damage but also released powerful, paralyzing currents. Regirock, already cumbersome, stiffened and moved even more slowly.
"Pikachu, finish it with Iron Tail!"
"Regirock, Stone Edge!"
Pikachu leaped high, its tail gleaming silver in midair and tracing a sharp, silvery-white arc.
Pikachu poured all its strength and speed, along with the resolve entrusted to it by every companion who had fought to bring them this far...
into that single strike,
aiming at the back of Regirock's head,
and cleaving down with mountain-splitting force!
Regirock never managed to unleash Stone Edge,
because Pikachu's Iron Tail landed first.
Already on the verge of collapse, Regirock's enormous rocky body crashed to the ground, throwing up a cloud of dust.
