This was Tonio's laboratory.
The wall of shelves was crammed with books, and used sheets of draft paper lay scattered across the floor.
Tonio's research equipment covered the desk. Apart from a single chair, there was nothing else.
That left them no choice but to sit on the floor to chat.
Besides handing Gaudí's diary to Li Wei,
Tonio also passed Alice an old, yellowed photograph.
"This is a photograph of my great-grandfather Gaudí and your grandmother Alicia."
Seeing the radiant smile on her grandmother's face as a child, Alice's eyes filled with nostalgia.
Looking at the photograph, Dawn exclaimed excitedly, "She looks so much like Miss Alice!"
Wasn't that completely backward?
Li Wei corrected her helplessly. "Other way around. Alice looks like her grandmother."
Dawn nodded vigorously. "Oh, right!"
Alice casually turned it over. There was sheet music on the back.
While Li Wei, Ash, Alice, and the others studied the photograph and diary,
Piplup took an interest in a disc on the desk that resembled a dinner plate and even lifted it up on its head.
"Pika!"
Pikachu managed to take it from Piplup's head, only to nearly lose its balance.
"Cha."
Seeing Zeraora catch the plate, Pikachu breathed a sigh of relief.
Pikachu's frantic movements had caught Ash and Dawn's attention.
"What are you doing, Pikachu?"
Lying on the floor, Pikachu scratched its head. "Pikachu~"
Li Wei paid them no mind, studying Gaudí's notes, which also contained design drafts for the Time Tower.
Should I hire someone to build a Time Tower too?
Li Wei planned to add more landmark buildings to the Theme Park to attract more visitors looking for photo opportunities.
After some thought, Li Wei decided against it.
He could build landmarks, but not a
