"Who are we kidnapping this time?"
On the rooftop of a skyscraper, Lou Yu lounged lazily along the edge, utterly unafraid of the hundred-story drop beneath him.
The wind was strong that night. Shielding his lighter with one hand and holding a cigarette between his lips, Lou Yu flicked it several times, but the flame kept blowing out before it could catch.
Ye Ruan gave him a cold glance. "Lu Yao. From Huaxia. If you're going to smoke, get lost."
Lou Yu snorted with laughter, his foxlike eyes narrowing. He gave up on lighting the cigarette, rolled over, and gazed at the night sky.
"So heartless. We've been partners for ages, and you won't even give us a chance to keep each other warm."
Ye Ruan ignored him, watching the direction of the moving red dot on his watch face.
"Hey, the more I think about it, the more I figure we'd actually make a pretty good match."
Lou Yu stealthily draped a hand over Ye Ruan's shoulder.
Ye Ruan frowned, seized Lou Yu's wrist, and dislocated it with a crack.
"That trick again." Lou Yu popped his wrist back into place with two quick movements.
"Come on, we're both young. Isn't this the perfect time for a little romance?"
Ye Ruan said coldly, "Not with you."
"What, you've already got someone you like?" Lou Yu pressed.
Not wanting to listen to this fox keep pestering him, Ye Ruan simply grunted an affirmative to put an end to his hopes.
Lou Yu said, "I don't believe you. Unless you bring him in front of me and kiss him on the lips, I won't believe it."
