Yet the outcome was nowhere near that bad. They could even call it an overwhelming victory.
Aside from Qin Yu and Qi Ning, who had opposed the plan from the start and lost nearly two-thirds of their members, the other teams had suffered few casualties-not just among their members, but even among the NPCs.
Wei Lanxing suddenly felt a profound respect for Sheng Ziyao and Meng Yizhi's relaxed attitude. "You knew all along?"
Sheng Ziyao looked utterly bewildered, completely unable to follow her sudden, disjointed question. "Knew what?"
Meng Yizhi sighed. As a fellow victim of past experiences, he offered her a heartfelt piece of practical advice:
"We didn't know the battle plan, but there's one thing we knew for certain: opposing Shen Ru is guaranteed to end badly."
After speaking, he instinctively glanced at the two bedraggled captains nearby and emphasized:
"As long as you understand that, you can avoid ninety percent of unnecessary suffering."
The environment in B Zone was fundamentally no different from C Zone. There were simply more ruined buildings and less ground to cover, making the population considerably denser.
There were quite a few earthen houses aboveground, most rendered uninhabitable by their severely damaged roofs. Still, they confirmed that B Zone certainly wasn't deserted. There had to be NPCs here, though far fewer than in C Zone.
