The village chief finally relented, telling Yi Zhongzhou to come see him that evening, presumably to discuss how to catch the zombie.
Qi Wu had little interest in catching zombies. He felt there had to be more to the mass grave on the mountain behind the village. After all, a mass grave in this day and age could only have been left over from the past.
After the village chief exchanged a few more hushed words with Yi Zhongzhou, they headed to their lodgings.
Once they reached their lodgings, the players began investigating Peach Blossom Village. Qi Wu went with Han Mo, and they stopped at a house to ask where the mountain behind the village was.
"The mountain's over there." The villager pointed to a mountain in the opposite direction from where Qi Wu had entered the village. "Hardly anyone goes there, since it's in the opposite direction from the road into the county seat. But there's a crazy old man living a little way before it. He goes up there sometimes."
"A crazy old man?"
"He's not right up here." The villager pointed to his own head and pursed his lips. "Running off to that mountain all day long-what is that if not madness? He'd have starved to death if the neighbors hadn't been helping him out."
Qi Wu felt there had to be a reason the crazy old man kept going to the mountain, so they said goodbye to the villager and headed in the direction he had pointed.
