The ambulance siren pierced the stillness of the night.
At another upscale hotel, Xie De lit a cigarette and smoked on the balcony. The night breeze scattered the sweet scent of the slim cigarette as he watched the ambulance recede from his lofty perch, his gaze narrowing.
"Why are you following me?"
Hu Songlin crouched in a corner by the door, refusing to leave no matter how many times Xie De tried to chase him away. Whenever Xie De told him to go, he looked back with pitiful eyes. He seemed fairly young, probably a year or two younger than the protagonist.
"I don't know. My mission is complete. Now I just want to stay by your side. Maybe I can help you."
Uh... This feels like I just sent Little Villain away, only for villain number two to latch onto me.
"How did you find me?"
Hu Songlin answered honestly, "I picked a random city to wander around in, and after a couple of steps, I saw you."
Ah, damn luck king.
Xie De leaned against the balcony railing. He had put down his jacket and earphones when he entered the room, so he could only take out his phone now. Somewhat curious, he asked, "455, Hu Songlin is a villain, right? If he's this strong, how did the protagonist kill him?"
455 began searching through the plot again. After a while, it said, "Hmm, we don't have that part of the plot. But judging from what comes before and after it, although the villain has an enormous cheat, the protagonist's cheat must be even bigger!"
"Then how many cheats does the protagonist have? And how big are they?"
455 put on an air of profound wisdom. "How many? Lots. How big? Huge."
What a load of empty words.
