Background / History

Su Rang is already an experienced player when introduced at Headquarters Base alongside Yuan Ci and Qin Mi. He follows guild recruitment news and examines the Uninhabited Village’s published damage data, recognizing that one of its newcomers possesses exceptional combat power. He proposes approaching the newcomers, but Yuan Ci declines to join the recruitment scramble 16.

Yuan Ci chooses Su Rang to accompany him into Jianshe Road Experimental Middle School. Su Rang dislikes supernatural instances and buys protective items before entering. His experience is uneven: Yuan Ci later remarks that he has completed too few supernatural instances and threatens to have Qin Mi arrange more for practice 16 19.

Personality

Su Rang is curious, sociable, and teasing. He eagerly questions Qin Mi about his frightening beginner experience and privately enjoys seeing Yuan Ci’s teacher disguise fail against Ji Xun. He also notices Yuan Ci’s interest in Ji Xun, ruefully observing that their morning investigation amounted to watching his guild leader flirt 16 18.

His fear of ghosts is conspicuous, but it does not prevent him from helping others. When Yuan Ci and Ji Xun become unresponsive on the staircase, he rushes toward them despite Hao Wei’s warning. Later, he promises to protect Ji Xun during the auditorium investigation and apologizes after needing rescue himself 21 26 27.

Su Rang trusts Yuan Ci completely and generally follows his instructions even when frightened. He can nevertheless complain openly about Yuan Ci’s decisions and distracting banter. He also rejects Chen He’s unsupported accusations against Dawn and expresses regret over Qian Fang’s death despite disliking him 19 23 24 35 36.
