Green-Dressed Girl paused when she saw Li Xian's back, her expression seemingly full of confusion.
Li Xian quickly looked away without noticing her expression, grabbed his clothes, and opened the door to leave the dorm room before she could.
Before Green-Dressed Girl could follow him out, Li Xian reached back and shut the door.
Jiang Qiuyue and Qian Chen had been waiting in the hallway. When they saw Li Xian emerge, they started toward him to speak, but he solemnly held up a finger for silence, then pointed inside the room.
The two understood at once and quickly backed away a few steps with Li Xian.
Knock, knock, knock.
Three knocks came from inside the closed dorm room.
Staying here any longer would probably end badly, so Li Xian said quietly,
"Let's get out of here first."
The three hurried back to their own dorm room. After closing the door, Li Xian took out the Jadeite item and touched it. Only after feeling its cool surface did he breathe a sigh of relief.
Looks like she didn't follow us.
With the crisis safely averted, Li Xian found Jiang Qiuyue and Qian Chen staring at him. Only then did he realize he had forgotten something-
He was still wearing a dress.
"...Um, sorry for the trouble, but could you step outside again while I change?"
Li Xian sounded utterly drained.
Jiang Qiuyue shook her head vigorously. "No, no! Keep it on for now-let me put the wig on you and do your makeup so we can see how it looks!"
After saying this, she produced a pair of sandals from who knew where.
"I found these in another room while you were changing. See if they fit."
Li Xian was standing in the room with his back angled toward Qian Chen.
