Li Xian sighed silently, took his phone out of his pocket again, and checked the time and battery.
There were about two hours left until dawn, and the battery was at 28%. That should just barely be enough.
Those "Fly People" apparently had some ability to think, or they wouldn't have known to split into two groups to cut him off. The recordings could intimidate them through a door, but that didn't mean they would still scramble to avoid him if he walked out openly carrying his phone.
So he would probably have to hunker down in this toilet tonight.
Li Xian was just about to lock his phone to save some battery when he noticed a red dot had appeared in the upper-right corner of his messaging app at some point.
He tapped it and found that Jiang Qiuyue and Qian Chen had both sent him messages an hour ago:
"Why did you go outside? Are you okay?!!"
"Li Xian, are you all right!!"
Li Xian quickly typed a message, briefly explaining that he was fine for now but couldn't return until dawn. Neither of them had gone to sleep, and both immediately replied.
"You scared me to death..."
"As long as you're okay..."
"My phone's running low. Talk later."
After sending that reply, Li Xian turned off the screen and slipped his phone back into his pocket. Only now that the danger had passed did drowsiness finally catch up with him.
He covered his mouth and yawned, his eyes watering slightly as he wondered whether he could find somewhere to sleep for a while.
Li Xian's gaze swept around the cramped stall before settling on the toilet. He wrestled with the idea for a moment-
Forget it.
