"Thud!"
Deng Hanyu crashed hard to the floor. The Fly People's buzzing exploded in everyone's ears, fiercer than anything they had heard before, almost drowning out his screams.
Li Xian immediately clapped his hands over his ears. Perhaps because the noise was directed only at Deng Hanyu, the others merely found it piercing and physically uncomfortable; their mental value did not drop.
But even that piercing noise was enough to make everyone miserable. Jiang Qiuyue's face was scrunched up in pain as she fought through the discomfort and shouted to Li Xian:
"Forget about this for now! Let's get out of here!"
The Fly People were behaving completely differently from before, as though they had finally found an outlet for all their pent-up rage. They unleashed furious blasts of sound at Deng Hanyu, and amid the jostling heads, someone even seemed to throw a punch at him.
Zhai Shu was the first to find the scene unbearable and ran out the door.
Jiang Qiuyue was also forcing herself to hold on while waiting for Li Xian's response-at this rate, she felt her eardrums would burst!
When she saw Li Xian wave toward the door, Jiang Qiuyue quickly ran out with Qian Chen, with Xu Loubai following behind. Only after they had dashed several meters down the corridor did the fading noise begin to feel less piercing.
Jiang Qiuyue cautiously took her hands off her ears, her eardrums still aching. She was just about to ask Li Xian what they should do next when she suddenly realized someone was missing-
"Where's Li Xian?"
Jiang Qiuyue was stunned.
Everyone turned at her words. After confirming that Li Xian had not followed them, they reached a conclusion:
"He's still in the room?"
An inexplicable surge of admiration rose in Xu Loubai's heart. At
