A fierce wave of heat swept between his ankles. Even without touching it, he felt as though he was about to be burned. Just as Li Xian thought it would touch him, the Honey Shadow precisely adjusted its position and slipped through the gap between his feet. At that same instant, the heat source beside his feet abruptly vanished.
Li Xian tried to turn his head to follow the Honey Shadow and see where it had gone, but the moment he moved, the "water" eagerly coiled upward and locked his neck in place.
He was held with his head bowed, leaving only the scorch marks the dark red Honey Shadow had left on the ground within his field of vision.
However, Li Xian soon discovered that although his neck was immobilized, his previously restrained feet could move again. Perhaps the "water" wrapped around him had limited abilities and could not control two parts of his body at once.
So he simply turned his body, trying to work out where the Honey Shadow had gone from the blackened trail on the ground. All he found, however, was a scorch mark that stopped abruptly.
Li Xian frowned and turned a full circle on the spot, finally discovering that it had "vanished into thin air" after passing beneath his feet.
